Cois M. Byrd Detention Center
Byrd serves the fast-growing southwest end of the county: Murrieta, Temecula, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Wildomar, and the surrounding communities. Arrests made by the sheriff and local police in this region are commonly booked and held here.
You do not need to drive to Murrieta, and neither does Karla need you to. The application and the agreement are handled by phone or email, the bond gets posted at the facility, and release follows the jail's own processing timeline, usually hours. Distance changes nothing about how fast the bond side moves.
